Andrea Serra is a Director at the Capitals Coalition, leading on strategic partnerships and market building to advance adoption of impact accounting for value creation.
Andrea brings over 15 years of experience working across the consulting and non-profit sectors. Before joining the Coalition, she served as Chief Market Development Officer at the International Foundation for Valuing Impacts (IFVI), where she led on partnerships to integrate impact into financial and business decision-making. Her career also includes roles at BSR, where she supported multinational companies on ESG strategy development and implementation, and at the World Economic Forum, where she managed public–private collaborations on sustainable travel and tourism.
Before moving to the field of business and sustainability, Andrea spent over eight years in international development, managing donor- and multilateral bank-funded programs on human rights, governance, and economic development across Latin America, East Africa, and Asia-Pacific. She holds a dual Master of Public Administration in International Development from the London School of Economics and Sciences Po Paris, and a B.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University.
Andrea is driven by the challenge of connecting big picture systems thinking with real-world impact—turning ideas and ambition into action and results that can be felt on the ground. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, pilates, traveling, and spending time at the beach and in nature.
